Professor Joan R.M. Bullock, J.D., MBA, CPA, is an inaugural faculty member at the Florida A&M University College of Law. She teaches Contracts, Sales, Secured Transactions, Payment Systems, Business Organizations, Federal Income Tax, Professional Responsibility, Law Office Management, and Accounting for Lawyers. Prior to coming to Orlando, Professor Bullock was a tenured professor at the University of Toledo College of Law and has also taught at Georgia State University College of Law.

In addition to her teaching career, she is a member of the Michigan Bar and has practiced before the United States Tax Court. Professor Bullock has assisted many start-up enterprises, including law firms, providing legal, accounting, tax, and general business services. Prior to teaching, Professor Bullock worked as a certified public accountant for the Detroit office of Coopers & Lybrand. There, she practiced in the areas of corporate tax, mergers and acquisitions, and valuation.

Professor Bullock is currently serving as Chair-Elect of the American Bar Association's Law Practice Management Section and is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation.  In anticipation of her year as Chair, Professor Bullock is exploring ways to make the resources of the Law Practice Management Section more accessible to the increasing number of lawyers choosing solo and small firm practice.  Her expertise in law firm management has been called upon to assist firms in considering changes in their business model in order to achieve growth in the new economy.
